Job Summary:
The Payroll Accountant will assist in payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates, including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation
Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
Entering payroll information and maintaining payroll files properly.
Validating all payroll transactions are processed efficiently.
Responsible for MIS and Analytics review regarding payroll.
Ensure Monthly payroll provisions are posted timely.
Schedule a review meeting with manager for salary payment process
Prepare and post payroll expenses in SBO based on the project & cost centres in respective Entities
Extracting periodic reports as & when required for management review
Assist in month end closure related to payroll
Support during Internal Audit & External Audit
Addressing & assisting with payroll inquiries from employees
Ensuring to file labour compliance like TDS, PT, PF and LWF etc on timely.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.
Handle confidential or sensitive information discretely.
Take initiative to understand complicated processes without all the information or details being provided up front.
Work well under pressure with changing priorities while thinking strategically.
Organize and schedule work effectively in-order to meet deadlines.
Be proactive; possess strong follow through skills.
Ability to work independently and as a part of team
Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Knowledge on statutory related aspects on TDS, PF, PT, and other labour related compliance.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Advanced Excel skills.
Minimum of two years’ experience as a Payroll Accountant, or in a similar role.
