As a Payroll Tax Analyst within PNC’s Human Resources organization, you will be based in the PNC Footprint. You will be responsible for balacing and validating payroll taxes, respoding to agency letters and correcting employees tax records. The ideal candidate will have experience with state and local tax.

Job Description

Organizes and analyzes tax forms for filing in accordance with regulations and as directed by management.
Researching and monitoring appropriate federal, state and local tax regulations and obligations.
Preparing appropriate tax forms and instruments for filing with federal, state and local jurisdictions.
Keeps business units informed about tax implications of their operation.
Compiling and analyzing tax data and providing reports to management.

General Ledger (G-L) – Knowledge of tools, practices and considerations for general ledger; the ability to update and validate general ledger data.

Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) – Knowledge of the generally accepted accounting principles and the ability to apply them appropriately within the organization.

Problem Solving – Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.

Tax Management – Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations, issues, and trends.

Work Experience

Roles at this level typically require an Associates or equivalent degree as well as related experience or product knowledge to accomplish primary duties. Typically requires 4+ years of related business or functional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education and experience (including military service) may be considered.
