Job Description : Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist Role:
Location: Sandy Springs, GA. Position is FULLY onsite!
Salary: 85-100k annually.

The Payroll Tax Compliance Specialist supports the team in various workflows consisting of creating and obtaining completed Power of Attorney’s, processing tax notices, opening and closing tax jurisdiction accounts, and various other functions.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include: Ensure company complies with federal, state and local employment tax laws.
Research, study, and interpret employment tax laws regarding Northside’s applicability or exemption.
Provide timely resolution to agency inquiries.
Identify and apply for new jurisdictional payroll tax identification numbers as needed- FIT/FICA, SIT, SUTA.
Compiles accurate and precise documentation.
Assist the audit team with any and all payroll tax related concerns.
Responsible for W2’s, W2C’s, 940’s, 941’s, and other jurisdictional monthly and quarterly tax filings.
Timely research and resolution of deposit-to-filing out of balances, amended returns, etc. as needed.
Maintains current knowledge of tax changes and industry trends.
Reviews tax data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements:
CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) Certification preferred
5+ years of Payroll Tax Compliance or Related role
BS/BA Business Related Field preferred
Proficient in Excel
Current knowledge of employment tax laws
ADP Smart Compliance Software preferred
Champion continuous process improvement and efficiency
