Location: Westfield, WI

Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Payroll Manager

Summary: The Payroll Tax Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all payroll taxes and related filings are timely and accurately submitted to state and federal agencies. Additionally, the incumbent will research and retrieve payroll-related information for audits, analytics, and other business requests. The incumbent also serves as the primary back-up for the salaried payroll administration.

Remote: This position is up to 50% remote/work from home.

Essential Functions:

Administers payroll tax and related filings. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that all payroll-related taxes, forms, and filings are timely and accurately prepared and submitted. Such filings include annual W-2 statements; social security, Medicare, tax, and other regular withholdings; quarterly submissions and reconciliations to state and local governments; unemployment and garnishments; and other miscellaneous required filings.

Maintains current knowledge of changing payroll-related laws to ensure compliance. The incumbent monitors changes in payroll tax and other payroll-related required filings that impact the company and ensures that the organization remains compliance. The incumbent works with the IT Department to ensure that SAP updates related to tax and other required withholdings is up-to-date and operating properly.

Researches and retrieves payroll-related data. The incumbent is responsible for delivering payroll-related information required to comply with external or internal audits; information requested by governmental agencies, such as the BLS; and information needed to drive internal analytical decisions.

Administers the salaried payroll process. The incumbent maintains knowledge of salaried payroll processes and administers such processes biweekly. The incumbent also serves as a resource and backup for the hourly payroll process.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years in a payroll, tax, or accounting role OR 5+ years of experience in such a role.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work accurately with numbers
Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner
Proficient in both oral and written communication
Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook/other e-mail software

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or similar field
Experience with payroll and/or payroll taxes
Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Work Environment: The work environment is an office environment with standard temperatures and normal office noise levels. The incumbent may be afforded the ability to work up to 50% remote.

Physical Demands: This position would be primarily sitting with little to no lifting or other physical demands.

Position Type: This is a salaried exempt full-time position. Typical first shift business hours. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.

Travel: Minimal travel to other facilities/plants may be required.
