Job Description : Patrick Industries is currently hiring an energetic and experienced Plant Accountant to join our growing team! The Plant Accountant will work within the Fiberglass Group and support and oversee the research, planning, and collecting information to determine the cost of finished goods and to evaluate the manufacturing process. The Plant Accountant will work closely with Purchasing, Operations, Management, and Corporate Finance across multiple locations and business units to analyze data and make recommendations.Patrick Industries is a leading manufacturer and distributor of components products and building materials serving different industries throughout the United States including RV, Manufactured Housing, Industrial and Marine segments. With locations in 23 states and 11,000 Team Members, Patrick is a Company with a strong network of meaningful relationships with our brands and customers.This role will require some local travel of up to 25% and can be based out of one of our Business Units located in Warsaw, New Paris, Bremen, Ligonier, or Elkhart, Indiana.Other responsibilities will include: Planning, Studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and laborAnalyzing data collected and recording resultsAnalyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on costAnalyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costsRecording cost information for use in controlling expendituresAnalyzing audits of costs and preparing reportsMaking estimates of new and proposed capital expenditures and product costsProviding management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.Assisting Corporate in month end close of the General LedgerKey contributor in physical inventories and cycle count programProactively identify key metrics that need to be tracked and provide regular reporting to managementWork closely with the Group Vice President and Business Unit Directors on understanding and analyzing results and on driving initiatives for improvementWork closely with Patrick Corporate Controllers on month-end close, business cases and other Patrick deliverablesRequirementsCandidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experienceMinimum of 5 years of professional work experience with 2 solid years of Cost AccountingPrevious experience in a manufacturing Environment is highly desiredMust have a strong cost systems background and have excellent analytical skillsExperience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standardsAbility to accurately prepare dashboards, daily/weekly/monthly reportsExperience to include general understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley ActExcellent written and verbal communication skills in terms of being clear, concise, and professional with the ability to work effectively with a wide array of plant personnel ranging from hourly employees to senior managementAbility to quickly adapt communications in a variety of settings to meet the unique needs of multiple audiencesSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines and work independently with little to no oversightStrong accountability and follow-through skillsA high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualitiesAbility to travel locally up to 25%Patrick Industries offers competitive wages and a full benefits package including but not limited to, Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance, Vacation, 401K, and HSA.
