Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks a SOX Compliance POC to join the SOX team in the Dulles, Va. The SOX Principal Regulatory Compliance Analyst will be responsible for defining, implementing the sector SOX internal controls strategy and framework to drive processes and compliance for all divisions.
This SOX Compliance POC will have a working knowledge of the internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and will work with the Divisions and Functional Teams to perform and monitor SOX internal controls and processes. This individual will play a central role in audit activities supporting NGSP management with SOX internal controls and various internal audits. The desired candidate is a strategic thinker and hands-on individual who can take SOX compliance tasks from concept to implementation and has a proven track record of simultaneously managing and delivering multiple projects and priorities.
Major areas of responsibility:
Evaluate and help to design and operating effectiveness of SOX internal controls and make recommendations for improvement
Work with external and internal auditors and Corporate SOX PMO to plan and implement assessment of the control environment, coordinate timing and execution of process walk throughs and operating effectiveness testing cycles
General audit supporting including document retrieval, review, and research
Support ongoing monitoring of internal controls and respond to related inquiries
Document identified findings and deficiencies, provide guidance on remediation actions, and monitor remediation activities to completion
Perform quarterly and year-end SOX reporting tasks, including administration of SOX certifications for entire SP sector and reporting to Corporate SOX PMO
Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures related to internal controls over financial reporting and SOX
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5 years of industry relevant experience in External or Internal Audit, SOX Internal Controls, Risk Management, Accounting and/or Finance experience,
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Vision) and SAP/Costpoint ERP systems
Experience performing and supporting audit activities
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
Operational experience with SAP and/or Costpoint in Aerospace / Defense production environment
Experience working and collaborating with external or internal auditors
CPA (or working to obtain)

Salary Range: 83800 – 126800

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
