Depending on years of experience, there is an opportunity for this individual to be hired as a Senior Project Accountant.
The Project Accountant will be responsible for strategy and execution of all project related accounting; finance, draw requests, budgeting, forecasting, GL, AP/AR, etc. The individual plays a critical role in both strategic decision-making process and day-to-day operations as the organization continues to grow.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Review monthly and quarterly financials
Coordinate compliance with lender debt
Address questions from auditors and tax professionals
Participate in the monthly and quarterly close process
Review funding requests for capital projects and operating expense needs
Assist with budgets, cash flow projections and reforecasts
Assist with the preparation of audits and tax returns related to projects
Ensure quarterly billbacks are sent out timely.
Assist Controllers with the day-to-day accounting and special projects as needed
Selection Criteria:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
CPA Certification Preferred
3+ years of experience as a Project Accountant or a Public Accountant, preferably for a national firm and/or a major real estate or financial services company is desired
Proven success in setting and achieving corporate objectives, including demonstrated work ethic, competitiveness and tenacity required to achieve top performance
Excellent academic credentials
Possesses the highest level of integrity and character
Thrives in a small, cohesive and hands-on work environment
Highly transparent and ethical and places a high value on both personal and firm integrity
High energy; structured and action oriented
Highly collaborative and committed to being a part of an integrated team
Intellectually curious, creative, and a broad-based thinker
Proficient with accounting and computer systems and programs
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal and the ability to structure and disseminate complex information in a range of appropriate styles/formats
Strong analytical, accounting/financial skills
