Location: Anywhere within the United States
Reports to: Financial Controller
Position: Full time, 40 hours per week, exempt employee
Salary: $70-$80k
The Recycling Partnership is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Project Accounting Manager to manage all accounts payable activities for the organization, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records and control reports. Project management skills are equally important in the success of this role as the Project Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accurate accounting of the activities of a rapidly expanding portfolio of 150+ initiatives and projects.

Possess a thorough understanding of the accounts payable function
Have exceptional project management skills
Are extremely organized with ability to manage multiple projects

Are proficient in MS Office, Sage Intacct, and Bill.com
Have proven experience in leading and implanting new processes across an organization
Possess a minimum of 5 years proven experience in a finance, business, or project management role
Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration

WHAT WE WILL TRUST YOU WITH:
Business Partner for Operational teams
Lead monthly project financial review with program teams; providing detailed insight into project performance and outlook
Develop a cadence with Community Engagement Team to support execution of $17.8MM grant budget; providing increased transparency around grant budgets, actuals and forecast
Provide key data to support recommendations on executing project deliverables whilst ensuring data integrity of the financial reporting
Leads innovative automation strategies that allow for financial data to be easily accessible across the organization
Project Accounting and Management
Maintaining detailed knowledge of the TRP portfolio of community programs and circular economy initiatives
Manage all project-related accounting functions, including budget and expense analysis, financial reporting, payroll and indirect cost allocations, re-forecasting and project closeout functions
Review and audits invoices, provides account codes for project accounting; prepares and distributes periodic transaction reports for project reimbursement as related to public grants
Prepare accurate and timely budget and expense analysis reports, analyzes and communicates monthly financial results and status of project
Ensure expense and reporting compliance with project funding agreements
Accounts Payable Procedures
Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function including, but not limited to,
On-boarding new vendors and business partners
Receiving and processing vendor invoices through the A/P inbox
Working closely with TRP staff to ensure proper expense coding
Scheduling semi-monthly vendor payments for processing
Ensuring appropriate internal controls are being followed regarding approvals and documentation
Serving as Bill.com super user; point of contact or all employee and vendor inquiries
Ensuring required information is current for all new and existing vendors and business partners
Develop, refine, and maintain A/P invoicing process to be more efficient and effective to support strategic growth
Leading Team Members through Coaching
Foster a fun and collaborative environment
Provide direction to support prioritization and efficiency
Be willing to jump in to assist as both a leader and team player
Inspire growth by providing real-time feedback on successes and opportunities
Be a champion for their development and continued advancement
