Job Description : R.J. Corman Railroad serves all seven North American major railroads, many regional and short line railroads and dozens of industries having rail. Services include owning and operating seventeen short lines, providing emergency rail services associated with derailments and natural disasters, switching, track construction, track material distribution, signal design/construction, building switching locomotives and operating a dinner train.R.J. Corman Railroad Group is seeking a Project Cost Accountant at its Nicholasville, KY headquarters.Accountability: Central function of position will be processing and auditing of field production reports for invoice creation, entering in payroll for field employees, allocating expenses in Concur if necessary and processing bi-weekly payroll reports. Other general admin responsibilities may also be required. The primary accountability is to clients and equally to RJ Corman.Responsibilities: Read, understand and implement contracts/proposals.Specific report creation: Pro-Forma Invoices, Bi-Weekly Payroll ReportsProvides other general support as necessary within the department.Performs other duties as assigned.Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred but not required (depending on experience).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.1-2 years accounting experience preferred.Limited lifting, no greater than 30 pounds in the movement of office materials and equipment.Hand and finger dexterity for use of keyboard skills.Ability to produce sufficient volume of work while maintaining accuracy is a must.Requires maintaining high level of confidentiality.Performs duties without direct supervision.Benefits: R.J.
