To learn more about Alpha Chi Omega visit our website .The Property Accountant is accountable for all general ledger accounting, fixed asset and property tax needs of the Alpha Chi Omega National Housing Corporation (NHC). Duties include managing all fixed asset related accounting transactions, all necessary general ledger accounting and corresponding reconciliations, property tax filings and notices, along with assisting in audit preparation and annual tax filings.. Requirements:*KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES*Minimum of five years of progressive, professional experience in accountingKnowledge of construction or real estate accounting is desirableWork experience with U.S. GAAPExcellent organization skills, time management, and attention to detailIndependent decision-maker who can be self-directed in their activitiesIntermediate Excel proficiency or higherTechnical aptitude to learn internal financial systems, experience with Financial Edge or Sage Intacct preferredNatural curiosity and desire to implement change where neededEDUCATIONBachelor’s degree with major field of study in accounting required. Additional advanced degree, certification or other professional designation within the field of accounting preferred.Job Type: Full-time
