Job Description : A rapidly growing LA-based independent financial solutions company offering Private Wealth, Alternative Investments, and Business Management services is seeking a Property Accountant for their Real Estate division. They have a 50 employee-team serving high net-worth private clients and families with integrated investments, estate planning, business management and tax planning solutions.The Property Accountant will work in tandem with the Controller to oversee the accounting, compliance and financials of their multifamily and industrial property holdings as well as fund offerings. They will report to the Controller and Managing Director of the Real Estate division.ResponsibilitiesPerform full cycle accounting at property level, produce financial reports monthlyPrepare and analyze financial statements, general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, budgets, cash flow projections and review of job cost reportsFiling and remitting property taxes, insurance, mortgage payments, and all other vendorsEscalate past due accounts to asset/property managerPerform accounting for all management fees due to MWRE per PPM/Operating AgreementsManage construction accounting for each project, tracking commitments and variance analysisMerge existing Quickbooks + Buildium accounts to new Yardi property management softwareResponsible for completing annual CAM reconciliations on industrial propertiesRegister and set up new entities at state and federal level, manage annual complianceAssist in fund and asset level audits as necessaryResponsible for understanding the accounting of newly acquired/restructure of assets by working closely with ControllerAssists in reforecast and consolidation of financial entitiesReconcile, verify and validate all entries to balance sheet and income statement accountsProvide information for and take part in Q&A for audits, tax preparation and appraisalsPerform daily tasks such as receive checks, post receipts, and prepare depositsReview and post payable invoicesQualificationsPositive attitudeSolution-oriented mindset; demonstrates persistence to overcome obstaclesBachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, economics, or accounting3+ years’ experience with full cycle real estate accounting at the property levelExperience working at a property management company or a self-managed group is requiredExperience with multifamily assets required (LARSO a plus), office/industrial and SFR is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, and Yardi requiredGeneral knowledge of capital markets and experience with discounted cash flow modelingStrong interpersonal skills; is tactful and treats others with respect; relates effectively to others when encountering difficult situations.Demonstrates quality, attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughnessAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlinesUnderstands organizational goals and develops strategies to achieve these goals; adapts strategy to changing conditions; takes calculated risks to accomplish goals.Strong business acumen; able to understand business implications of decisions; displays orientation to profitability; can clearly articulate reasoning for decisions.Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:All employees of the firm are required to be fully vaccinated and in office 5 days per week.Ability to commute/relocate:Los Angeles, CA 90067: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):Do you have experience with Yardi and QuickBooks software?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
