Job Description : Description: The Property Accountant is responsible for the oversight of the monthly general ledger accounting activities at the property-level. By performing balance sheet reconciliations and preparing monthly financial reporting packages, the Senior Property Accountant is responsible for collaborating with community and regional team members and ensuring financial accuracy, timeliness, and completeness across all levels.Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Compiling and analyzing financial information for month-end and year-end close including supporting schedules and work papersPreparing journal entries and ensuring the general ledger activity is accurate and complete: revenue and cash receipts reconciliation, accruals and prepaidsPerforming cash management, including cash application and reconciliationsCollaborating with community and regional team members to ensure timely and accurate pre-close activities are completedProactively following-up with clients regarding property profitability and addressing client inquiries in a timely mannerReviewing and approving invoices in accounts payable workflowPerforming other ad-hoc related duties or projects as assigned.
