Position Summary: The Resource Controller is responsible for the leading, monitoring and reporting personnel/headcount processes/data for A320, A220 and Site Shared Services. This role is also responsible for implementing resource management procedures that result in the Mobile Manufacturing Site FAL-USA meeting Airbus the Airbus Annual Operating Plan. The FAL Resource Controller must lead the alignment of resource planning with Senior Leadership at the FAL, the A320 Controller, the A220 Controller, and the Site Finance Controller in Mobile and the HR team in Herndon, VA.
Primary Responsibilities:
Reporting and Planning: 30%
Manage and lead the development and maintenance of resource reporting and related performance data necessary for complete and accurate reporting on OPEX financial status.
Review and report on monthly results and variance reporting relative to resource related costs and KPIs.
Plan, approve, monitor and report resource related requests in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan and KPIs.
Responsible to lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting of resource related expenditures.
Responsible for providing resource forecast to controllers, FAL Senior Leadership Team and central HR team for operational planning and reporting.
Business Support: 30%
Responsible to implement and lead the governance process for resource cost planning across the Mobile Manufacturing Site, including the coordination of Senior Leaders and the HR team for resource related requirements to support operating workload and projects.
Responsible to communicate resource budgets and ensure adherence to budgets relative to resource planning.
Responsible to support HR as part of the multi-function team in recruiting planning and compensation and benefit planning.
Accounting and Tax Support: 30%
Support personnel cost forecasting for OpEX.
Monthly support for finance team for resource related accruals during the closing process.
Tracking, submittal and reporting of training and jobs credit incentives relative to resources.
Additional Responsibilities:

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:
Education:
An undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience:
Must have 5-10 years’ experience in Finance, Accounting or HR
Experience specifically related to resource planning is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:
Ability to conduct planning and variance analysis.
Experience in either HR or controlling, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Experience in project and KPI management.
Knowledge of US accounting practices and the ability to accommodate US generated information in international finance and accounting system reports.
Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):
Fluent in English. French a plus.
Technical Systems Proficiency:
Accustomed to work with reporting systems such as SAP, Tableau or Google Studio.
Travel Required:
<10% Domestic and International Eligibility: Able to work in the US without a current or future need for visa sponsorship. Must be able to make independent decisions directly related to asset management and investment recommendations to senior management. Responsible for advising senior management on resource planning directly linked to OpEX budgets. Nature of Contacts: Involved in negotiation type communication on a daily basis with internal parties only. Physical Requirements: Working Conditions/Physical Demands (for ex. Lifting, working in heights): Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions and other business interactions Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment. Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects. Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 20lbs/9kg. Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas. Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings. Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves. Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time. Working outside hangers in changing locations. Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
