Your daily responsibilities include:
Assists in hiring and training, and responsible for motivating, evaluating, and supervising staff on assigned shift to ensure employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
Serving as a leader for employees while fostering teamwork, employee morale, motivation and open communication
Supervising the activities of the revenue audit clerks to ensure quality
Reviewing daily audits/summaries to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as adherence by audit staff to established policies and procedures
Assisting in the development of audit programs to ensure accuracy and completeness of the financial statements
Utilizing different computer programs as needed to access and maintain necessary audit data
Communicating in writing to appropriate personnel any discrepancies discovered in the course of completing audit work. Use experience-based knowledge, discretion, and independent judgment in determining proper reporting procedures
Identifying and reporting any unusual revenue/business activities or problems, including violations of company policies or procedures
Researching various problems and issues in daily audits and format solutions
Assisting in ensuring that the monthly income journal is complete and accurate
Providing professional representation at internal and external meetings and events
Developing and leading a high performance department to include at least one internal successor to the Revenue Audit Supervisor role
Creating and maintaining an environment of mutual and reciprocal trust, respect and confidence within the department and when dealing with internal/external guests
Rewarding, recognizing, coaching and counseling department employees
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of employee performance and department incidents

Qualifications:
Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred.
Two years minimum experience in revenue audit or similar accounting functions.
Previous supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).

Provides direct supervision of financial reporting, income control, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
Manages work procedures and expedites workflow.
Provides coaching and counseling to team members.
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and peripheral vision.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
