Job Description : Overview:
Located 15 minutes north of Baltimore, Maryland, and an hour away from Washington DC, a manufacturing company based on proprietary technologies in a range of fields including fuel cells, thermoelectric and electrochemical technologies, and staffed with a group of highly talented professionals seeks an energetic Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager.
This role is 100% onsite
Responsibilities:
Accounts Receivable Duties
Cash forecasting
Bank and Order Reconciliations
Collections
Intercompany Invoicing
Maintain and process commissions
Maintain Sales Orders (entries and billings)
Perform Journal Entries
Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
Distributes expenditures, encumbrances, receipts, and receivables according to schedules.
Monitors compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
Serves as back-up for other accounting duties.
Qualifications:
BS in Accounting , Business Administration or other relevant area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 plus years relevant experience
Must have strong computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
Experience in Government Contracting and/or Manufacturing environment desired
