Fullsteam is a rapidly growing, fast paced, private equity-backed software and payments company headquartered in Auburn, AL. The company was formed in 2018 and is rapidly expanding through a combination of acquisitions, organic growth and driving additional revenue / efficiencies. This role is being created to support Fullsteam’s growth and will report to the Director of Technical Accounting & Reporting.
The Technical Accounting & Reporting team is seeking a highly qualified candidates with a solid accounting base combined with the ability to succeed and grow, particularly in an entrepreneurial, hands-on, high growth and fast paced environment. This role will provide support to our corporate accounting function as well support other finance and accounting functions across Fullsteam.
. Requirements:

Responsibilities
Corporate Accounting
Own the month end corporate reporting process, including income statement review, balance sheet review, and trial balance reconciliations for corporate entities.
Own the payment processing journal accounting and reporting each month
Own the accounting for corporate debt
Own the accounting for centralized journal entries, such as Fixed Assets, Leases, Insurance
Assist with projects associated with implementing accounting efficiencies
Assist in the year-end audit
Work closely and effectively with portfolio companies and other departments at Corporate
Work on special projects in accounting and finance
Continuous Improvement:
Review existing methods of gathering information and performing analysis and propose opportunities for improvement
Assist with furthering the development of automation of Excel based reporting through PBCS and other tools
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes
Well versed in GAAP Accounting and a knack for investigating and resolving accounting topics
Excellent analytical skills
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Excellent oral and written communication
Extremely detail oriented, well organized, and the ability to multi-task
Excellent team player
Excellent interpersonal skills
A track record of problem solving
Ability to work independently and complete assignments with short deadlines
Curious mind that looks for new more efficient ways to complete tasks
Comfortable learning new software, tools, or ways of doing things
Experience
Experience with participating in corporate accounting and the month end accounting close process
Experience with identifying accounting process improvements and taking initiative to implement them
Experience with variance analysis and financial reporting
Experience with corporate planning and reporting tools (preferred Oracle or NetSuite experience)
Preferred experience with SaaS based software and / or the payments industry
Education/Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree with Accounting or Finance concentration
MBA or CPA a Plus

Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Position is ideally based in Auburn, AL but consideration may be given for highly qualified candidates residing outside the area to be fully remote. Relocation assistance is available. For a fully remote position, the candidate would need to have a suitable work environment set up as their home office and be comfortable managing their own schedule in a non-corporate office environment.
