Client-focused and service-oriented, we only employ individuals who are professionally minded, committed and able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills.The Role The position of Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting, is located in Miami Florida and is responsible for providing basic full-cycle accounting support to the fund accounting line of the business servicing private equity, hedge, real estate, and venture capital funds and investors. The position may be assigned large or more complex accounts, and will also work with auditors as required. The senior accountant will report to the manager of fund accounting. This is a hybrid remote position and employees are required to report in to the office two to three days a week.DutiesMaintain general ledgersCalculate periodic fund net asset value and performance returnsDeliver monthly financial packages to fund managersPerform period-end closes along with completing special reporting specific to each fundDistribute capital statements to each investorReview new investor subscription packets, perform due diligence and run background checks on new investors for compliance with anti-money laundering policies and regulationsProvide daily operational support for funds, including banking services, generating wire transfers, bank account transfers and account set upPrepare financial statements and footnotes, and audit support filesWork closely with auditors in conjunction with fund auditsMaintain and update investor recordsAssist clients with online portal access and questionsComplete other duties as assigned by the senior manager of fund accountingQualifications, Experience and SkillsBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or other related discipline required; master’s degree preferredCPA license preferredThree (3) to five (5) years of related experience; fund accounting experience preferredProficiency with MS OfficeIntermediate to advanced skill set with Microsoft Excel; comfortable with simple and moderately complex Excel formulas and toolsIntermediate to advanced knowledge of QuickBooks or comparable accounting package; Advent Geneva or other fund accounting software experience a plusAbility to work independently, prioritize and effectively manage client workloadAbility to communicate effectively with a variety of professionals (colleagues, fund managers, investors) verbally and in writingAbility to analyze financial statements and understand performance trendsOther Requirements Ability to function in high-pressure situationsAbility to meet strict deadlines consistently –Excellent interpersonal skillsAbility to clearly and easily verbally communicateAbility to read, write and speak English Compensation An attractive compensation package is available and will be based upon the successful candidate’s relevant experience and overall suitability for the position.Job Type: Full-timePay: $57,505.00 – $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceWork from homePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payExperience:GAAP: 3 years (Preferred)Fund Accounting: 3 years (Required)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: One location
