Job Description : Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant to take a lead role in preparing financial information in support of accounting and tax reporting requirements. This person will be a key contributor in the financial accounting team and will work closely with all members of Finance.
Responsibilities
Key contributor to the global accounting close process, including account analysis, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations.
Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules for monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Work closely with foreign subsidiaries on a monthly basis and provide ongoing support to international accounting service providers, auditors and tax professionals.
Responsible for the consolidation of financial results, including elimination entries and the reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
Responsible for compensation accounting: Payroll G/L entry process, bonus accruals, commissions and benefits accounting and analysis.
Participate in the implementation of new accounting standards, including the new lease accounting standard.
Assist in the annual financial statement audit, tax preparation and bank compliance audit.
Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and improve financial reporting processes to scale with a rapidly growing business.
Recommend and implement improvements needed to enhance financial systems.
Assist with special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
B.S. in Accounting, CPA a plus.
Minimum 5 years of progressive work experience with a strong understanding of US GAAP.
Experience with multi-national organizations and the ability to work effectively with international locations.
Proficient with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills with significant attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High energy level with the ability to implement best practices in the global accounting close process.
Strong team player that takes ownership of responsibilities and functions independently.
