Job Description : We are looking for a diligent senior accountant to join our accounting department. The senior accountant’s responsibilities include maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, performing monthly inventory reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and reviewing the AR & AP throughout each month. You will also be assisting the accounting manager as needed and respond to information requests by management and for auditing purposes.To be successful as senior accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). An outstanding staff accountant should also have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.Responsibilities: Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes.Partnering with general managers on inventory and cost controls.Understanding the AR & AP process and assisting with documentation.Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.Meeting processing and reporting deadlines.Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits.Ensuring compliance with GAAP.Assist with monitoring and reporting compliance with Company SOPs.Prepare and file tax returns and assist with compliance reporting as needed.Assisting the accounting manager as needed.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Working knowledge of GAAP.Strong numeracy and analytical skills.Good problem-solving and time management skills.Highly organized and detail-oriented.4+ years of accounting experience.Who we are: For more than 60 years, ’58 Foundations has provided the highest-quality basement waterproofing, crawlspace encapsulation, foundation repair, and mold remediation solutions for residential and commercial properties. ’58 Foundations was built on the belief that if we take care of our employees, then our employees will take care of our customers.
