Job Description : Department Overview:
The Business and Finance department serves All Nations Worship Assembly of Chicago and All Nations Worship Assembly of New York by providing information and guidance to effectively manage and protect the assets and allocation of resources for both campuses
The department is responsible for overseeing the Organization’s financial operations, to ensure that financial services, fiscal strategy, and operational analyses best support the mission and priorities of the organization. In addition to overseeing all aspects of financial services, Travel Administration, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Legal and Regulatory Oversight this department also oversees Human Resources and Business Management.
Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant works for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within the Business and Finance department. The Senior Accountant’s role is to perform accurate and timely financial procedures for the organization.

SMART Responsibilities:
Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
Prepare adjusting month-end journal entries related to cash, revenue, and expenses.
Reconcile various revenue sources and expenses.
Complete analysis and account reconciliations to determine if journal entries are needed to issue accurate and complete financials.
Audit contracts and purchase orders and prepare reports to substantiate individual transactions prior to the monthly close process.
Ensure revenues, expenses, and balance sheet items are recorded in a timely and accurate manner, and in accordance with GAAP
Utilize the G/L and reporting systems to effectively record transactions and assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements
Financial statements creation and editing
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Prepare Weekly financial reports.
Prepare financial statements – Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.
Assist CFO as needed.
Assist in annual asset tracking reporting.
Assist with coordination of Risk management tasks.
Coordinate internal and external audits of the Organization.
Prepare various general ledger account analyses and bank reconciliations
Protect company financial information
Assist with other projects as needed.
Assist CFO as needed.
Ad hoc task as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Technical/Knowledge/Skills
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required preferably with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics
Experience
Minimum of 5-10 years accounting experience
Some experience working for a non-profit corporation is preferred.
Experience in G/L, month-end closing, and financial reporting preferred
Experience with audits and tax return preparation process
Experience in the reconciliation of multiple income channels including credit card processors
Strong experience in sales and use tax filings
Technical/Knowledge/Skills
Strong understanding of accounting theory
Experience in G/L, month-end closing, and financial reporting
Experience with audits and tax return preparation process
Experience in the reconciliation of multiple income channels including credit card processors
Ability to perform regular in-depth financial analysis
Knowledge and understanding of SFAS rules
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Google G-Suite, and Quickbooks
