Job Profile Summary: Ensures the accounting records are accurate, complete and prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and consistent with corporate policy by using a high level of knowledge and experience in accounting practices. Analyzes and records complex financial transactions along with summarizing and presenting the financial results in various reports and analysis. Researches variances, analyzes trends and recommends solutions. Ensures proper maintenance of accounting controls and processes
Job Description:
Principle Responsibilities
Creates and validates complex accounting transactions based on information received or gathered to complete month end close process.
Implements and understand new accounting transactions according to GAAP.
Performs high risk account reconciliations and proactively researches variances, recommends and implements solutions.
Looks for opportunities for efficiencies and implementing process improvements.
Analyzes actual trends to explain variances and provide solutions where applicable with key customers
Works effectively with auditors by explaining processes and preparing work papers.
Collaborates with others based on skill set and ability to design solutions.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or finance required
5 to 7 years of accounting experience required
Physical Demands
Sedentary:
Lifting weight Up to 10 lbs. occasionally, negligible weight frequently
