A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts. The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants and junior accountants. Flexibility to work from home.Responsibilities: Create, Review, and Prepare Journal Entries for multiple entitiesSupport month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processPrepare and summarize transactions report and financial status, involving a profit and loss statement, and other important reports in the organizationPrepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accountsBalances and maintains subsidiary accounts by allocating, posting, verifying, and reconciling accounts payables/receivablesRecord, Review, and Reconcile fixed asset schedulesReview and recommend modifications to accounting systems and proceduresPrepare any tax returns as neededTake part in the forecast process and financial standard-settingProvide input into department’s goal setting processAnalyze financial information and summarize financial statusDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsLiaise with Director of Finance and Accounting Manager to improve financial proceduresRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required or relevant fieldMasters degree in Accounting is preferred5+ years experience in accounting or financeComplete understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)Strong and good communication abilities, both verbal and writtenAttention to detail and accuracyProficient in Microsoft Office, especially with Excel aptitudesDemonstrated ability to work in leadership role and supervise junior-level subordinatesExperience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close processJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:All employees are mandated to wear a mask in the office at all times.Ability to commute/relocate:Miami, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:Accounting: 5 years (Preferred)GAAP: 5 years (Preferred)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: One location
