We are committed to fostering, cultivating and preserving a culture of equity, diversity, access, and inclusion.Senior AccountantSummary We are searching for a Sr. Accountant to oversee the critical accounting functions of our digital lottery Joint Venture and Marketing Department. This individual will be solely responsible for creating the monthly financial statements, budget, and forecast. This is a dynamic role with regular interaction with the CEO, Operational and Marketing Managers to ensure accuracy within stringent deadlines.Duties and Responsibilities Take lead during the month-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of the financial statements.Ensure all event and company-related data has been recorded accurately.Ensure shows are booked within the prescribed timeline.Analyze and review system-generated reports and all reconciliations.Assemble and submit reporting package(s) including cash projections, income statement, variance analysis and the balance sheet reconciliations.Monitor receivable balances and collection efforts, ensuring adequate reserves are recorded as necessary.Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and best business practices.Responsible for communicating all Policies/Procedures to field and ensuring compliance.Responsible for budgeting and forecasting along with cash flow projections.Create vouchers and code invoices before submitting them to AP for processing.Review and code expense reports.Assist with special projects as assigned.Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Cooperation Establishes and maintains effective relationshipsActive listenerOffers assistance and support to co-workersWorks cooperatively in group situationsAdaptabilityAble to work around unexpected changes of circumstance or workloadModifies a planned course of action based on new circumstancesChanges communication style to achieve the best resultsFunctional CompetenciesLooks for ways to improve and promote qualityDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughnessIndependent problem solverUtilizes technology: Oracle, Adaptive, & Excel4Apps, to automate processes.Team OrientationFosters team cooperationUnderstands team roles and responsibilitiesSupports group problem solvingQualifications aka KSAOs To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
