Job Description : Position DescriptionWe are seeking a candidate with a wide variety of Accounting experience, including the full Accounting cycle through Financial Statements, account analysis, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, sales taxes, payroll & labor laws, employee benefits, property taxes, 1099 reporting and liability insurance and applications.The incumbent must be able to develop professional relationships with the personnel in each of the support functions. We are looking for somebody with a very strong sense of teamwork and working together with vendors, customers and other departments.QualificationsApplicant must have a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting or Finance.5+ years of Accounting experience within the Service or Distribution industry.Experience with Human Resources and Payroll.The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Word, possess good interpersonal skills, enjoy problem solving, and be able to communicate effectively.ResponsibilitiesMonthly Financial Statements and account analysisOversee daily customer billing and vendor payablesPrepare reports as needed for managementSales tax deposits and returns; tax exemptions and procedures; corporate tax depositsAssure that all standards of ethics, thoroughness and quality are incorporated into all activities within the Accounting departmentProject billings1099 reportingQuarterly commissions for outside sales employeesMaintain spreadsheets for Project Manager annual commissionsProcess new hires in conjunction with PEO and maintain employee filesMaintain an open and candid relationship with the Director of OperationsStandard of PerformanceComplete all activities and job requirements accurately and timelyCustomer expectations must be met.
