Job Description : Title: Senior AccountantReports To: Chief Financial OfficerSummary of Position: Directly responsible for financial statement preparation & consolidation, account analysis & reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets & forecasting, audit preparation, & internal control maintenance & regulatory reporting. The position offers great long-term potential, growth, & a strong compensation & benefits package. The Senior Accountant position is with a Hospitality company.Duties & Responsibilities:Provides Balance Sheet account reconciliationsProvide monthly consolidated P&L & Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reportingWork with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures & controls & provide support on special requestsProvide analysis on financial results, including trends, performance metrics & benchmarksAid in coordinating quarterly reviewsManage Ad-hoc projects as necessaryStrong interest in continuously improving accounting & reporting processesProduce error-free monthly accounting close procedures & deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Participate in various department & corporate-wide initiativesQualifications:BA/BS in Accounting (MBA & CPA credentials are preferred)Minimum of 5 years of overall general accounting experienceAttention to detail & ability to follow standard proceduresComfortable working in a changing & dynamic environmentWell-founded grasp of Monthly AccrualsProven knowledge of Monthly Account ReconciliationFamiliarity with Month-End Close ActivitiesKnowledge of Cash ManagementMonth-End Reports ExperienceFood & Beverage Accounting Experience a plusCritical thinking skills & the ability to retain complex work directionsAbility & willingness to meet critical business deadlinesEfficient in ERP systemsCorporate Performance Management (CPM)Effectively engage in self-directed time management & prioritization of workloadSelf-starter, ability to identify issues & resolve problemsExcellent verbal & written communication skillsCompensation: $65,000 – $80,000Job Type: Full-timePay: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Charleston, SC 29403: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Controllers: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
