Job Description : Insurance Accounting Services is a privately-owned boutique accounting consulting services company. We are growing tremendously and need a dynamic, flexible, fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants individual to join our growing team!Senior Accountant Position (Immediate Availability)Managing workload for Staff Accountant. Maintains accounting records for various agencies, including recording of all bank activity (Receipts/EFTS), coordinating training on accounting programs, processing payroll, assisting with producer commission calculations, performing monthly audits, and assistance with agency cleanup.Performs a variety of complex tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Works under general supervision. Special Projects/Month-End Functions: 25% Support the Controller with routine duties and non-routine duties with emphasis on general ledger management, all major account reconciliations, journal entry postings, financial reporting, and special projects as needed.Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required. Minimum 3 years experience in accounting or related field. Highly-organized, and good time-management skills needed. Experience with Vertafore AMS360 / Applied Epic software a plus!Minimum 20hrs/week to start. Increased hours as client workload increases.
