Job Description : We are searching for a Senior Accountant – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will summarize the financial position of the organization by recording and analyzing transactions affecting accounts in the general ledger and preparing relevant reports for management.Think you’ve got what it takes?Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures activities are recorded to assigned general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and Hospital policies and proceduresReviews monthly closing entries prepared by accountants and assistants for accuracy by established departmental closing deadlinesAssists CFO and financial management in reviewing company level financials, addressing concerns and questions regarding variances and activityResearches and responds to basic accounting inquiries posed by all sourcesReviews reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and integrity of monthly financial reportingReviews and prepares monthly financial statements for presentation to IDS boards and executive reviewWorks with management and executive to develop and establish clear and efficient reporting goals and to ensure appropriate presentation of financial dataReviews entries and reconciliations for accuracy and communicate discrepancies***Skills & Requirements*Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemptionBachelor’s degree in Accounting and general business required3 years related experience requiredPrevious supervisory experience preferredA master’s degree may substitute for one year of required experienceBig 4 experience strongly preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Houston, TX 77030: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Required)Experience:GAAP: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:CPA (Preferred)Work Location: One location
