Job Description : We are looking for an experienced Senior accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions for our Canadian business. Supervisory experience a plus.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Timely release of financial reports, ensuring they are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and that they fairly and accurately reflect the company’s current financial position.Oversee the daily accounting activities for a newly established company. This includes all activities from journal entries to financial statements. Participate and perform various activities for the existing US companyPrepare financial forecasting and budgetsCoordinate the audit process and ensure that the auditors have all the information they need to render an accurate judgement of the company’s financial statements.Communicate regularly with managementMonitor cash flow and provide monthly projectionsPrepare monthly sales tax reportsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, 4+ years of experience.Ability to learn, understand, and interpret various accounting principles such as U.S. GAAP and international accountingWillingness to problem solve and work through new issues or obstaclesSAP or ERP implementation experience a plusSales and use tax experienceExperience creating and depreciating fixed assetsWorking knowledge of financial statements, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.Excellent interpersonal skills including collaboration and communicationStrong analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as ability to mulit-taskAbility to develop and implement improvements or recommendationsAttention to detailJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
