Job Description : The Menzies Aviation Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions for multiple locations.Main accountabilities include: Month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing journal entries, accruals and allocationsMaintain balance sheet accounts including cash, prepaid assets, accrued liabilities, intercompany assets/liabilities, fixed assets etc.Assist the Treasury with electronic payments and tracking cash-on-handSupport/reconcile intercompany transactions between domestic and foreign entitiesAssist in compliance with internal control objectivesAssist in special and ongoing projects designed to improve financial visibility and department efficiencyPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field2+ years of experienceSolid understanding of general accounting conceptsAbility to quickly learn, retain and apply knowledgeComputer literate with proficiency in ExcelStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at different levels and from different cultural/ethnic backgroundsWork on evenings and weekends may be necessaryMust be able to sit and have the ability to look at a computer for extended periods of time.Some domestic and international travel may be required (< 10% of time)Professional StandardsProfessional demeanor requiredRespectful and collaborative approach.Clear and honest communication.Proactive and driven.Flexible and understanding of changing priorities, situations and audience.Confident and focusedJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Accountants: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location This post is listed Under  accountant jobs
