Job Description : SUMMARY
The Senior Accountant performs a broad range of accounting functions throughout the month in addition to significant responsibilities during the month end closing process to ensure accurate transaction processing, financial reporting and statement preparation for all entities.

FUNDAMENTAL DUTIES
Coordinate the calculation, tracking, accounting, and payment for the company’s contractual obligations including royalty, rebate and commission plans.Manage the financial reporting for company debt, ensuring obligations are properly recorded in the financial statements and all required payments are made timely and accurately.Prepare and file use tax returns, IRS required reporting and other miscellaneous state and/or federal returns and forms as needed.Work with the Company’s tax consultants and senior management to ensure timely submission and payment processing of all related items.Enter all general ledger postings for ADM Promotions and coordinate all related transactions with affected parties.Oversee the RCM (returns, credits & markdowns) database, validate transactions and provide all associated reporting and analysis.Handle all general ledger modifications, related FRx transactions.Act as liaison with the Payroll Department to ensure accurate posting of payroll.Coordinate intercompany activity with various entities, both domestic and international.Assist with the month end closing process by providing support in the areas of account analysis, journal entry preparation and posting to the general ledger.Prepare and distribute periodic reporting as requiredAnalyze, verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.Review posted transactions and prepare correcting accounting entries as needed.Coordinate all applicable account reconciliations and ensure completion in accordance with company defined schedules.Complete year-end close processes within the system.Assist in the preparation of information for annual and interim audits.Assist in the preparation of information for annual budgets and periodic forecasts throughout the fiscal year.Ensure accurate monthly input into Hyperion and any required reporting to the parent company.Assist with the preparation of financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders and ensure compliance with GAAP and IFRS as appropriate.Work on special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
In depth understanding of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Ability to work within teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.Detailed understanding of daily financial and accounting operations with a strong sense of urgency.Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.Computer Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced results driven environment.Willingness to work a flexible schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Experience with automated financial, accounting and reporting systems.Experience with Microsoft Office products and Hyperion Financial ManagementBachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experienceThree years’ experience in a finance or accounting position

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
