Job Description : Reports To: ControllerDepartment: FinanceDirect Reports: NoneFLSA Status: ExemptSummary:Responsible for managing and producing financial records of the Company.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are not limited to: · Month-end close including monthly journal entries, corrections, general ledger account reconciliations, analytical review, and reporting· Maintain up to date and accurate fixed asset schedule· Review and approve customer orders, negotiating terms and conditions as necessary· Process, review, and post bi-weekly payroll· Provide support and develop budgets as needed· Develop and deliver reports as needed· Serve as backup for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing· Assist with developing and participating in process improvements· Assist with Human Resource duties as assigned· Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs· Other duties as assignedCompetencies:To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Analytical – Design workflows and procedures.Compliance – Working knowledge of tax filings and compliance.Problem Solving – Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.Project Coordination – Coordinate projects through completion.Attention to Detail – Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved.Technical Skills – Pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; Shares expertise with others.Customer Service – Meets commitments.Interpersonal Oral Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; Participates in meetings. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and work experience. Five to seven years or more of strong accounting experience in a variety of areas including general bookkeeping, analytical analysis, tax compliance, financial reporting, fixed asset reporting and depreciation methods, payroll journal entries. Payroll processing experience and basic human resource knowledge helpful but not required. Demonstrated experience with handling sensitive information including but not limited to salary, wage, and financial information.Computer Skills:Strong computer skills including QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and ACT!Language Ability:Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Skilled communications. Internal and external customer management skills.Mathematical / Analytical Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
