We Need Someone Like You
As Senior Accountant, you will prepare monthly financial statements, evaluate operating costs and ensure payment of all tax obligations. You will have a keen ability to ensure details aren t missed in preparing production, sales, financial reports, and summaries as required for effective financial management of the business. Your ability to organize and communicate information is critical.

Your Typical Day Might Look Like This

You will prepare revenue projections and backlog analysis for all operating companies.
You will assist in the preparation of consolidated monthly financial statements and other financial analytics.
You will manage monthly reporting and job cost review with management as part of monthly financial statement preparation.
You will review fixed asset reconciliations and use tax filings completed by other team members.
You will evaluate operating expenses vs budgets and helping management maintain clean overhead budgets by finding irregularities or issues that can be addressed.
You will develop automated daily dashboards for cash flows and other key metrics.
You will reconcile job cost and billings to general ledger and address root causes for discrepancies.
You will also reconcile all bank accounts and credit cards.
You will reconcile other key general ledger accounts.
You will record monthly journal entries and job cost adjustments.
You will assist in internal and external audits.
You will assist with the training of accounting and operational personnel on full utilization of all financial systems.
You will develop and maintain accounting process and procedures to improve efficiency.
Other responsibilities: ad hoc reporting, quarterly compliance and certificates, new vendor setups and internal controls, use tax table maintenance.

You Will Bring This to the Table

Bachelor s degree in accounting / finance, economics or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, general accounting and/or audit.
Experience within the construction industry preferred.
CPA certification preferred
Thorough knowledge of standard accounting procedures, as well as all relevant Federal, State and local requirements.
Experience in the preparation of General Ledgers, Basic Knowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and Access; attention to detail; strong written and oral communications skills.
High degree of attention to detail.
Commitment to maintain strict confidentiality of corporate and employee information.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills, internally and externally.
Operates with a strong sense of urgency, and a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
Ability to work in a high-volume environment.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with other individuals.
Flexibility and willingness to help where needed in the department, and to train others in the department.

The range for this position has been established at $67,200-$90,000 and is US Engineering s good faith and reasonable estimate at the time of the posting. The compensation offered to the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your pay check. Team members are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance as well as paid time off; health, dental, and vision plans, matching retirement contributions, and matching 529 contributions that add to your bottom line.
