Job Description : Personnel Resources has an immediate direct hire opportunity as a senior accountant for a local transport company in the Dothan, AL area! We are seeking a detail orientated individual who can record and maintain all aspects of general ledger including preparation of journal entries and balance sheets account reconciliations! The applicant will be responsible for preparing specific accounting records for monthly/yearly/quarterly close.The ideal applicant will also be responsible for:Accumulate information for the preparation of financial statementsAnalyze balance sheets and income statement fluctuationsAnalyze key financial data, revenue and expense trends, financial commitments, and obligationsActively seek and implement process improvements to enhance GL processPerform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements:BS in Accounting5+ years of General Ledger accounting experienceAdvanced computer skills in MS Office, especially ExcelStrong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detailExcellent communication skillsWe are looking for someone who can work in a very busy environment! This position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and this position offers 10-15 vacation days and Blue Cross Blue Shield health benefits!
