Job Description : Advanced Sterilization Products is hiring a Senior Accounting Manager for our Irvine, CA and Everett, WA locations.As Senior Accounting Manager, you will apply your knowledge of both corporate accounting practices and GAAP to drive complex accounting decision-making processes, along with managing the day-to-day financial operations at ASP North America (US and Canada operations). We are looking for candidates with the ability to participate in spirited trade off discussions, finds excitement in ambiguity, and a team player who will “do what it takes” to get the job done. It is also important the candidates demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.This position will report to the Director – Assistant Corporate Controller, and will manage a team of Accountant, Sr Accountant, and Sr Analysts.Your Responsibilities:Managing all aspects of the revenue accounting process, including system closing, deferred revenue, account reconciliations, and proper reserve calculation and reviewDeveloping and documenting new revenue accounting policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and documenting currently undocumented processesPartnering with IT and AR teams, leading necessary SAP system modification/enhancement to improve existing revenue operation as well as enable new revenue streams processSupporting both internal & external audit activities, including remediation of issues found during auditAssisting in accounting compliance activities including but not limited to SOX and Balance Sheet ReviewManaging, coaching, and developing a team direct reportOverseeing the operations of the distributor incentive programs, such as chargeback rebate and various incentive fees as part of the gross to net revenue processIdentifying new opportunities and driving process and productivity improvements by learning and utilizing the Fortive Business System (FBS)Own and lead your professional and career development: such as stay current on accounting regulation and change in technology and learn the key drivers of the Company’s operationsYour Knowledge and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in finance or accountingMinimum of 5 years combined public accounting or corporate accounting operation experienceCPA license strongly preferredPeople managing experience preferredSAP experience a plusOperate in a way that never compromises ethics and integrityStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify and support practical solutionsDetail-oriented with the objective of consistently delivering high quality work products, while maintaining an understanding of the bigger pictureA forward-thinking mindset with an ability to make connections, carry forward learnings, and identify or anticipate potential challenges before they ariseAble to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a high-energy, dynamic environmentNot afraid to push back to leadership through data-driven decision-making modelsFortive is a global family of more than 20 industry-leading industrial growth and technology companies, united by a shared purpose: to make the world stronger, safer, and more effective by providing essential technology for the people who accelerate progress.
