Job Description : Job Description – Senior Auditor/Associate CIB Compliance and central functions
JPMorgan Chase Internal Audit is an independent function accountable to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors, the Office of the Chairman, senior management and our global and local regulators. Internal Audit is comprised of more than 1,000 auditors, located in key locations across the globe, and is responsible for assessing the adequacy of the control environments across the firm’s lines of business.
The role is for an experienced auditor within the CIB Compliance and central functions audit team, providing coverage of CIB Compliance activities, including AML Governance, compliance with various US and international rules and regulations, and other corporate functions including marketing & communications, and legal and regulatory related activities.
The successful candidate will participate on audit engagements to plan, test, assess and report on the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, working closely with audit colleagues and business stakeholders globally and across lines of business .
Responsibilities include:

Participate on audit engagements from planning to reporting and produce quality and timely deliverables to department and professional standards
Partner with colleagues and stakeholders to test, assess and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls
Finalize and communicate audit findings to management, identify opportunities for improvement, and use judgment to provide an overall opinion on the control environment
Build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders, business management, other control groups while maintaining independence
Implement and execute an effective program of continuous monitoring for assigned areas, including monitoring of key metrics to identify control issues and adverse trends
Stay up to date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting the business
Take ownership of self-development, including stretch assignments, to prepare for greater responsibilities and career growth and take initiative to seek out opportunity for continuous learning
Champion a culture of innovation
Find ways to drive efficiency with existing technical infrastructure through automation while embracing the innovative opportunities offered by new technologies
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience of internal or external auditing experience, or relevant business experience
Bachelor’s degree (or relevant financial services experience) required
CPA, CIA, and/or Advanced Degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred
Experience with internal audit methodology and applying concepts in audit delivery and execution
Solid understanding of internal control concepts with the ability to evaluate and determine the adequacy of controls by considering business and technology risks in an integrated manner
Knowledge and experience of corporate Compliance activities and AML preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills particularly in regard to assessing the probability and impact of an internal control weakness
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with senior business and control partners
Proven ability to multi task as well as assess and change priorities, and solve problems in a thoughtful manner with diplomacy and professionalism
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, strong interest in learning, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability
Ability to work well individually, and in teams, share information, support colleagues and encourage participation
Willing to travel as needed
