Responsibilities
The candidate will assist in implementing the new regulatory rules for Uncleared Margin Phase 6 and the London Clearing House (LCH), as
well as working on the major upgrade project for the Calypso platform from our current v13 to v16.
The desired candidate will:
Decompose business requirements and translate them into detailed design specifications and code.Interact with key business & technology stakeholders to define, analyze, and deliver requirements that reflect the needs of both the
business and end-customers.
Assess the costs and benefits for different solutions and recommend/decide on appropriate designs.Design solutions, write code, perform unit testing, develop appropriate artefacts / documentation, and facilitate final delivery.Support production issues, including independently completing root-cause analysis and diagnosis.Devise data structures for target environment and platform attributes in alignment with accepted enterprise architectural patterns.Build solutions that are supportable, scalable and helps achieve our targets for application rationalization.Recommend and automate approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational
efficiency.
Supports the management of specific project deliverables & outcomes.Stays abreast of industry technical and business trends through participation in professional associations, practice communities &
individual learning.
Candidates with development experience with the Calypso application – v14 to v16 in particular would be an assetCandidates with migration experience in the Calypso application will be considered firstLanguages: Java

Collateral and margining experience with the Calypso platform will be critical for this role.
– 8+ yrs. experience with Calypso v14 – v16
OraclePostgreSQLJavaGood understanding of Capital Markets data flow and the trade lifecycleGood understanding of margining and collateral management and requirementsGood understanding of the SDLCMust be able to produce usable documentation for all artifacts and codingExperience translating the business needs from the technology BA team to a technical solutionExperience with troubleshooting and system investigationExperience with Level 2/3 support

Experience with the CCMM modulePrior experience in a rapid deployment DevOps environment would be an asset
