Job Description : We are currently seeking a Senior Income Tax Accountant to join our team. This position is a vital element of the Corporate Tax team as he or she will contribute to the successful day-to-day operations and long-term growth of our Corporate Tax team. The Corporate Tax team oversees all aspects of corporate income tax compliance, planning, and provision. The Senior Income Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing federal and multi-state income tax returns, tax provision preparation and tax planning. Other job duties may include various income tax research projects and audit assistance.Job Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare annual corporate and partnership tax returns and extensions.Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments.Roll forward and/or reconcile various tax-related accounts.Participate in the preparation of the annual income tax provision calculation (ASC 740).Research tax questions/issues and involvement in other special projects.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA preferredMinimum of 2-3 years of progressive income tax experienceExperience working with an ERP system, Oracle experience preferredExperience working with IBM Planning and Analysis is a plusExperience working with Excel for Apps GL Wand and Reports wand is a plusQualifications (Skills & Abilities): CPA or current eligibility to sit for the CPA examExperience with multi-state corporate and partnership income tax returnsAbility to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectivesAbility to research issues, make recommendations, and pick up quickly on new systems and processesExcellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skillsAdvanced Excel skillsWell organized, detail-oriented, and focusedKnowledge of Mining and Construction Taxation is a plusMust have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all types of individualsJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
