Job Description : Senior Fund AccountantWestport, CTFast growing Private Equity asset manager located in Westport CT, seeks a diligent, detail-oriented professionals to join the team. Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for a broad spectrum of financial and accounting matters affecting our Private Equity funds. Candidate should have a background in accounting for private equity and the ability to manage deliverables and meeting deadlines.Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting functions for Distressed Real Estate funds and AIVReview all transaction documentation and supporting files, and understand the features of the investment transactions, accruals, etc.Review work paper files for accuracy and completeness, including capital activity, investment activity, income and expense accruals, valuationManage client reporting and performance calculationsOversee fund administratorAssist with coordination of financial auditsProvide financial analysis support to the investment team as neededQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years experience in an accounting role, preferably at a audit firm or Private Equity fund administratorTeam player with strong organizational skills and ability to work independentlyStrong computer proficiency using Microsoft Office productsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsBenefits: Salary will commensurate w/experienceBenefit plans including comprehensive medical, dental and vision401k with company matchPaid vacationProfessional developmentJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payWork Location: One location
