As part of Walmart’s Sam’s Tech eCommerce team, we enable an ecosystem, wherein our members can “save money so they can live better”, by using technology for the charter of building brand new platforms and services on latest technology stack.
Key Responsibilities
Sam’s Tech is looking for Senior Engineering Manager-I with Java application development experience to build several new and exciting products. This person should have a strong background in back-end technologies. At the center of our success is an agile, innovative culture, backed by Fortune 1 support. The ideal candidate will have the following experience and knowledge, but above all, must be passionate about being a part of the solution to deliver high-quality products with member first approach:
Manage/Mentor a team of Software engineers and lead end-to-end development for large-scale, applications.
Collaborate with product and cross functional teams to build great quality products.
Provide leadership and technical skills to implement processes and standard methodologies that improve the application.
Provide mentoring and development opportunities for associates.
Your Qualifications
An Engineering Degree – B.E/B.Tech/MS in any stream – Computer Science preferred.
10+ years of relevant experience in leading teams and building large scale systems.
Strong Java/J2EE development track record
Knowledge and experience of micro-services architecture, cloud technologies (Azure, GCP) and databases
Currently hands on writing and reviewing code
Experienced in Agile methodologies
