About the Opportunity:We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Portfolio Accountant to one of the top and fast-growing organizations based in Newton, MARecognized as a Top Place to Work, one of the “100 Fastest Growing Companies”, and “Fastest Growing Middle Market Company in Massachusetts”. An alternative asset management company focusing on commercial real estate (CRE) and related businessesYou will be reporting to the Controller of Portfolio Accounting
Senior Portfolio Accountant Responsibilities:Prepare, generate and review financial reports and supporting work papers monthly, quarterly, and annually on a GAAP basis. Analyze results.Maintain the general ledger and prepare/review journal entries and general ledger account analysis.Handle all financial aspects of several portfolios of senior living communitiesAssist in the internal audit process, including updating internal control policies and testing
Senior Portfolio Accountant Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with 3.0 minimum GPA3+ years of accounting experienceProficiency with Property Management/Accounting software, Yardi preferred
