Position :
Job Description : Position Summary
Responsible for the Agency’s tax credit financial reporting and accounting and assists in other accounting activities. Performs a variety of tasks that include revenue verification, projections, maintenance of records, revenue analysis, and other various ad hoc analysis/reporting.
Position Responsibilities
Reconciles Agency accounts to the general ledger on a monthly basis.
Prepares and distributes financial reports for tax credit and public housing properties.
Records financial activity for tax credit entities and Insight Development.
Reviews financial reports as prepared by outside accountants.
Prepares/reviews reconciliations of construction draws to the general ledger and financial statements.
Preparation of various financial compliance reports.
Prepares tax schedules and work papers for outside tax accountants for all tax credit properties and Insight Development Corp.
Prepares audit schedules and work papers for outside auditors.
Works with outside auditors to provide information as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of housing regulations and Agency policies, procedures, and practices. Skill in operating computer equipment and general office machines.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university preferred, with 3-4 years of experience in accounting with an emphasis in real estate and construction or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Excellent working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing using Microsoft Office Applications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Good knowledge of business math.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to deal effectively with situations that require tact and diplomacy; and to establish and maintain effective and courteous relationships with other employees, residents, and other business contacts.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid Indiana Drivers’ License.
