Reporting directly into the controller, this is a fantastic hands-on opportunity for someone to join a dynamic team supporting a global high tech manufacturing business.Purpose:Support financial operations of company, including full responsibility for Balance Sheet and P&L for multiple business units, by applying principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports.Key responsibilities:Full responsibility for Balance Sheet and P&L for multiple business units including:Perform reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts in connection with the monthly closeReview P&L, explaining trends and variances and making accrual entries as necessaryAssist in completing the monthly reporting packagesAnswer accounting and financial questions by research and interpretation of dataPrepare Journal entries and reconciliationsAdhere to strict deadlinesFind innovative ways to improve efficiencyFile sales tax returns in multiple statesAdminister Company Credit CardsServe as AP backupPrepare, analyze, and interpret financial information for non-financial management. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactionsAnalyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.Maintain detailed support ledgers and documentation, such as fixed asset registers, and reconcile to ledger balances. Prepare work papers and schedules for statutory accounts, audits, and tax returns resolving issues for CPAs involved. Responsible for subsidiary tax payments and tax return filing; coordination of responses to tax queries from federal and state entities.Other duties as requiredEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance and 5+ years’ experience in a related role or combination of education and experience requiredExperience filing sales tax returns in multiple statesExperience with Accounts PayableMS Office – Excel experience Intermediate or Expert level required (including pivot tables and v-lookups)ProfessionalExcellent organizational skills, detail orientation, and ability to prioritize requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment requiredExcellent written and oral communication skills requiredExperience providing a customer focused, high quality service in an accounting environmentDemonstrates the ability to manage workload in an organized manner and carry out tasks accuratelyTechnologicalUnderstands and manages within a technical and commercial environment.Familiar with the technical issues related to the relevant products and markets.Understands the industry trends in the relevant product area and requirements in the marketplace.High level of competency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
