Job Description : Senior Staff AccountantEncompass Pet Group, LLC is seeking a successful and results driven Senior Staff Accountant.This key member will be to be responsible for leading and supervising the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. The candidate will have excellent communication skills with all levels of the organization, maintain interdepartmental cooperation and consistency of business workflow. Additionally, the successful incumbent will ensure support, understanding, and accuracy with all accounting-related or Company financial items.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the accuracy and timeliness of all Company (and subsidiaries) financial transactions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledgers, monthly financial reports, client reports, and account reconciliations.Participates in the annual budget preparation process with leadership.Work with senior management to improve financial reporting and continual improvement of department workflow.Responsible for daily management of the Accounting Department, including task delegation, work quality, and accuracy.Must proactively identify process issues or improvement opportunities and advise on follow-up actions.Excellent communication skills are required for success in this role as there will be communication with all levels of the organization.Responsible for identifying development opportunities and processing possible disciplinary measures as needed.Responsible for tasks/projects assigned by management which may include interdepartmental work.Accountable for measurable, high-quality, timely and cost-effective results.Assumes responsibilities for related duties as required or assigned.Takes ownership of tasks and sees them through to completion with minimal oversight.Must be a self-starter, show initiative, and discipline to focus on goals with a commitment to the outcome.Responsible for the accuracy and clarity of all documents.Requirements· Bachelor’s degree preferred· 5-7 years accounting experience· Must have proficient Excel skills· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Close attention to detail· Highly organized· Knowledge of Microsoft OfficeWe offer a great benefit package to our full-time team members that includes medical, dental andvision insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), Competitive salary based on your experience, a Pet friendly workplace, and amazing discounts on pet products!Join a growing team of passionate pet lovers dedicated to building healthy relationships between pets andpet parents!Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Novi, MI 48375: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 5 years (Required)Work Location: One location
