Job Description : Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Owns all IFRS Balance Sheet accounts for the market(s), that are reconciled and reviewed in VOIS Finance OperationsEnsures the correctness and completeness of all IFRS Balance Sheet accounts for the market(s)Responsible for the identification and reporting of material risks to the financial statements for all the VOIS Balance Sheet accounts and processes.
Proactive ownership and coordination for the resolution of any material risks to prevent any financial misstatements
Proactive mitigation of financial/cash flow/reporting risk (and/or opportunity) reported in VOIS certificationIdentify and highlight any material corrections (over-accrual, under accrual, revenue adjustments, etc.) to financial statements before closing to avoid misstatements.Proactive ownership of any financial reporting changes and ensuring that they are properly reflected in the financial statementsAct as a business consultant in terms of the financial accounting process
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
Experience in a role with ‘strong impact without authority’ (e.g. project management, functional/dotted line/matrix/cross locational team management) is desirable
Strong communication skills – ability to tell story behind the numbers
Key attributes are the ability to conceptualize, visualize, ideate and “think out of the box.
A sound understanding of the absolute necessity of compliance with policies, standards and the criticality of an effective controls framework
Must have technical / professional qualifications:Qualified accountant (CA, ACCA) with 12 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting of a global organization is preferred
Desired:
Experience in the Telecom industry is as added advantage
