Job Description : Special Educator The program aims to prepare children with developmental delay/ disability thereby mitigating the disability of the child which will lead to mainstreaming the child for education. A special educator should be able to think differently, able to adapt to the changing global conditions and develop appropriate strategies to ensure academic or skill based learning happens in any system – inclusive mainstream school, home based or special institutions leading to self-learning, self-emulating and independentResponsibilities & Duties: He/she should capable: · Conceptualize lesson plans graded learning for critical and cumulative learning· Develop training content for parents, teachers and frontline workers· Able to understand the need and resolve problems· Come up with various sustainable models to implement Inclusive Education program· Lead the Early and Inclusive Education program· Able to guide and facilitate teachers, parents and other stakeholders on using the Shisksha education content from the website· Develop Guidelines documents -Buy-in from teachers, volunteers, children, mentors· Knowledge on how and where inclusion can happeno Who can be mainstreamed?o Who should get academic or skills-based learning?· Teacher training in inclusion· Peer sensitization· Modifications and accommodations· Online parents training. Offline, if and when required· To develop strong networks with various Govt. departments and NGOs to promote Shiksha education app· Form a core team with other rehab professional (available at block or district level) able to work along with the Govt. teachers including the Block resource teachers· Suggest indigenous resource rooms materials for use at different levels· Develop connects with Shiksha app users to provide need-based interventions as required· Develop relevant Monitoring systems and maintain an MIS· Analyze the ongoing program, review and advice course corrections or further steps to grow the programRequired Qualification and Skills: · Diploma/ B.Ed in Special Education, Autism & ID in Learning Disability/C.P/Autism/Db with 5 Yrs. of experience in developing and resource implementation· Minimum 2 Yrs. of experience in practical implementation of EIPs with various condition of Children with Disabilities· Knowledge on sign and language, braille· Knowledge on making TLM using local resources· Preferred 2 yrs. of experience working with CwD.· Must be comfortable to work in the rural sector· Willing to travel and cope with the harsh weather conditions· Strong communication skills in English, Hindi and Kannada both oral and writing.· Basic computer knowledge & Microsoft OfficeJob Types: Full-time, Regular / Permanent, FresherSalary: ₹20,000.00 – ₹30,000.00 per monthSchedule:Day shiftExperience:Special Education Teachers: 1 year (Preferred)total work: 1 year (Preferred)Application Deadline: 25/03/2022
