Candidate must be in a commutable distance to this location or be able to relocate. Pay is negotiable for the ideal candidate.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and reconciles accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenanceManages all accounting transactions in the appropriate systemsDevelop the monthly financial package – balance sheet, profit and loss statement, AP aging, AR aging and statement of indirect expensePrepares journal entries, and month-end accrualsAnalyze complex financial reports and recordsAssist with preparing and monitoring budgetsMaintains financial documentation, reinforces financial data confidentialityPrepare month-end adjusting journal entries – depreciation, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, etc.Prepare for external auditsInvestigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliancePrepare federal, state, local, and special tax returnsWork closely with PMO and department heads to ensure accurate financial set-up and reportingDocument and monitor internal controls in support of auditing teamComplies with the Company’s financial policies and federal regulationsCompute taxes and perform Sales and Use tax reportingPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsNeed to Have:Five or more years of experience with the Deltek Costpoint project module, including:o Accountingo Contract reportingo Funding and billingo Revenue recognitionWorking knowledge of tax laws and GAAPProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with ExcelKnowledge of other Costpoint functions, such as IWO set-up and maintenance, rate pool maintenance and allocations.Must have experience in the government contracting industry.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related fieldAbility to train and manage staffAbility to thrive in a collaborative team environment.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work with little to no supervision.Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with others.Nice to Have:Master’s Degree in accountancyExperience with Deltek Budget and Planning ModuleSponsorship is not offered for this position.
