Job Description : SMTC is hiring for a Senior Director of Financial Reporting and Systems in either Melbourne, FL or Phoenix, AZ!

The Senior Director of Financial Reporting plans, coordinates, and provides overall leadership to the Company’s day-to-day financial accounting, financial reporting, and treasury operations, including integration of best practices. Directs and oversees all policies and procedures for finance and accounting function. Responsible for implementing all U.S. Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensuring that proper financial systems are in place. Completion of the month-end close process and reporting. Responsible for maintaining compliance with GAAP and internal controls to ensure integrity of financial reporting. Evaluates current procedures and identifies areas in need of improvement. A candidate with system automation experience would be an asset. This position will support and lead the ERP transition for the finance team. Other duties as necessary.
Education and Experience for the Senior Director of Financial Reporting and Systems: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, MBA is preferred CPA required Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a high tech manufacturing environment including but not limited to: accounting/finance areas, budgets, legal compliance, P & L, accounting and management Proficient in Microsoft Office, must have advanced Excel skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executive team and other stakeholders
