Job Description : 4 plus years of experience as a Sr. Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting
Venteon Finance is currently seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting for a leading manufacturing company located in the Detroit area. This position is responsible for assisting with providing technical accounting support, training, implementation of new accounting requirements, process improvements, and providing support for annual audits.
Requirements of the Sr. Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Master’s degree preferred.
CPA required
A minimum of 4 – 6 years overall U.S GAAP accounting and financial reporting experience with increasing levels of responsibility required.
Experience with Big 4 accounting, technical accounting, and/or corporate financial accounting preferred
SEC experience preferred
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Word, research tools, and compliance software.
Responsibilities of the Sr. Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting
Assist in preparing and analyzing significant transactions, contract reviews and other technical items to determine the appropriate accounting and reporting treatment; complete accounting whitepapers and present technical accounting findings to senior management
Stay abreast of and research technical accounting and reporting guidance
Assist with the maintenance of Accounting Policy Manual in accordance with US GAAP and providing training, development and interpretation of the Accounting Policy Manual
Support global oversight of the Company’s ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 842, Leases, process, including contract reviews, revenue and lease template reviews,
Assist with providing monthly and quarterly reporting requirements, including financial and variance analysis to provide to internal and external audit
