Yamaha is looking for a Staff Accountant that primarily engages in all aspects of accounts payable functions including trouble shooting and analyzing payable data from interfacing systems, balance sheet account reconciliation, intercompany billing, and assisting in other areas including the administration of Corporate Credit Card program as well as a variety of accounting related special projects.

Key Accountabilities and Outcomes
All aspects of the accounts payable function that includes but is not limited to: process and input invoices with PO match for inventory and expensed invoices.
Troubleshoot and analyze payable data from interfacing systems (YCJ parent company invoicing systems, QuestaWeb).
Day to day administration of Corporate Card program including transaction auditing and responding to employee requests.
Audit expense reports for possible guideline violations and resolve questions and issues with employees.
Obtain proper management approval for invoices from other departments, match check run weekly, verification of the positive pay file, reconciliation of accounts on a monthly basis.
Research vendor inquiries, non-paid/short/overpaid invoices, and payee errors.
Perform GL functions in the areas such as intercompany billing, fixed assets and reconciliation of accounts.
Prepare of journal entries and recurring reports.
Gather supporting documents for quarterly and annual audits.
Assist in preparing ad hoc reports.
Utilize tools such as system queries and downloads, reporting and Excel v-lookups, etc.
Provide information, reports and analysis to the various departments on financial data.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to the table:

High school diploma
Two years related accounting experience
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Microsoft Office with excel being intermediate-advanced
Strong team player with effective communication skills (written/verbal)
Ability to interact at all levels of the company
Strong financial acumen
Strong analytical and organizational skills. Must be extremely detail oriented with excellent follow up
Ability to obtain, analyze and discuss processes and information to better the operation
Ability to meet deadlines

Preferred

Associate degree from two-year College or university preferred
Oracle knowledge
