Position :

Job Description : The primary responsibility of the Staff Accountant-Investor Reporting is to review the financial operations of properties and prepare quarterly and year-end property operating statements for internal review as well as for investors and lenders. This position also investigates differences between actual and budgeted items on the statements. The goal is to provide timely and accurate preparation of the financial statements, and thorough budget to actual variance analysis.CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company’s policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.Prepares property quarterly operation statements for the department’s portfolios which are used by asset managers to make decisions affecting investor distributions, reserve contributions and Inland Private Capital Corporation (IPCC) advances.Prepares quarterly and year-end lender statements, investor statements, and balance sheets.Prepares and maintains investor distribution schedules; disseminates investor distribution memos.Distributes property operating statement to investors on a quarterly basis.Reviews property capital expenditures for appropriate reimbursements from ownership reserves and lender-held reserve accounts.Works with asset managers and property managers on issues regarding property operations.Provides information and documentation as requested by lenders, investors, asset managers, etc.Assists other departments with various portfolio performance data (e.g., reserve and loan balance information).Interacts with Asset Management, Acquisitions and Corporate Accounting to clarify/interpret information and provide portfolio performance data as needed.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:Education:This position prefers a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university.Experience:This position requires over 1 year up to 2 years of prior professional experience, preferably in real estate environment.Certifications/Licenses:A CPA qualification is preferred for this position.Skills:Keyboarding skills are required for this position.Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel are required for this position.We are a drug-free workplace.
